Employee Spotlight: Joe Bonidy

Applications2U prides itself on our top-tier staff – that’s why, each month we’re highlighting one of our “A-players.” This month, we’re recognizing Joe Bonidy, director of sales who heads up our sales team and develops all key growth strategies required to achieve our fastest-growing technology company’s financial targets.

Joe joined the A2U team in June 2016 with nearly twenty years of experience in the technology industry, which includes working at Citrix. Check out the Q&A with Joe below to learn more about our favorite sales director.

Q: What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

A: It’s recognizing that I work for one of the fastest growing companies across all industries in town, and we are just getting started!

 

Q: What does leadership mean to you?

A: People that walk the walk, and show a great attitude!

 

Q: What is your personal philosophy or motto?

 A: “Why not?” – the best response for when someone asks you “Why?”

 

Q: What have been the top three highlights of your life?

A: Breaking 1000 on the SAT’s after six tries, shooting even par on 18 holes and riding the Phantom’s Revenge two times in a row at our A2U Kennywood Takeover event (I’m terrified of heights).

 

Q: What is the one thing you cannot resist?

 A: Pizza

 

Q: Can you tell us something that might surprise us about you?

A: I moved a lot growing up, seven cities from kindergarten to 9th grade.

 

Q: What’s your favorite movie(s)? 

A: The Rocky and Rambo series, followed by National Lampoon’s Vacation, Dumb and Dumber and The Nutty Professor.

 

Q: What’s the best piece of advice you can share with recent graduates? 

A: Move to a fun city and don’t worry about your starting salary. Have a blast, make new friends and get some good experience.  Your career will develop from there.
